What you'll find here

This site follows Latin America's bond markets with charts drawn from SQX's own bond database, briefs on how individual governments plan to pay what they owe, and the pricing data behind both. The issuer map places every issuer SQX lists in the region at its head office, sized by the bonds it has outstanding.

SQX's coverage by country

SQX's pricing engine prices every Latin American and Caribbean bond it covers each business day: government, state-owned, bank and corporate issues, in dollars and in local currency. Colombia's count is led by its banks' term-deposit certificates, which trade as bonds there.

Bonds and notes SQX's pricing engine priced on 20 October 2026, by the issuer's home country: 49,300 in all, from 22 countries. Every maturity and currency counts.

Where government credit risk sits

The market prices each government's dollar debt on its own story. This chart ranks them by the median spread SQX's pricing engine puts on their dollar bonds.

Median SQX credit spread of each government's US-dollar bonds, in basis points, on 20 October 2026. The median is taken over the 486 government US-dollar bonds that mature at least a year after that date, for the 19 countries with at least five of them.

Where the numbers come from

The yields and spreads in these charts come from SQX's bond pricing engine, which evaluates every bond it covers each business day. We re-measure each chart from SQX's database every week, and each caption names the pricing date it describes.

What a client receives

SQX's evaluated end-of-day prices arrive in one daily file, one row per bond: the bond's terms, clean and dirty price, yield, spreads over the government and swap curves, duration, DV01 and convexity, ratings, call structure, and the exchange close to compare against. It arrives by SFTP, S3 or API. Open the sample file to see real rows, or the data dictionary for every field. Coverage spans sovereign, quasi-sovereign and corporate debt in hard and local currencies.
